America's Got Talent singer,Dr Brandon Rogers killed in car crash weeks before audition airs

A SINGER due to appear on America's Got Talent has died weeks before his audition was set to air.

Dr Brandon Rogers died after a car crash in Maryland over the weekend.

The 29-year-old was in the passenger seat of a friend's car when the vehicle veered off road and crashed into a tree.

The driver sustained no injuries, but Brandon and another passenger were hospitalised.

Rogers died on Sunday from his injuries.

The doctor had amassed a huge following on social media thanks to video clips of him covering classic songs.

After producers found a video of him singing Boyz II Men's On Bended Knee, he was invited to audition for America's Got Talent.

TMZ are reporting that while producers are as yet undecided as to whether they should air Brandon's audition, the tragic singer's family want the performance to be shown.

Brandon's audition in front of Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel was scheduled to air next month.

Rogers' cover of On Bended Knee was even noticed by his idols Boyz II Men, who invited Brandon to perform with them for three nights at the Mirage in Las Vegas in January.

Following the news of Brandon's death, Boyz II Men wrote on Instagram: "Today our hearts are deeply saddened to learn about the sudden death of Dr. Brandon Rogers. A few months back we brought this young man out to the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas to perform with us.
