KIM Kardashian's brother Rob has been taken to hospital after a diabetes scare amid personal struggles with depression and obesity.
SISTER KIM: Kim has grown concerned with Rob's health
The elusive brother in the reality star family had complained he "wasn't feeling well," and was rushed to hospital after his condition deteriorated, according to TMZ.
When doctors tested Rob and his condition became stable he was diagnosed with the disease after having "no clue" he was diabetic.
The 28-year-old sock designer has been keeping a low profile, avoiding big family events like Kim Kardashian's wedding to Kanye West and Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday celebrations.
Compared to his siblings Rob rarely makes public appearances, after reportedly gaining 100lbs in recent years, and lives with big sister Khloe in her mansion.
Rob may have stopped appearing on Keeping Up With The Kardashians but the battle with his waistline and health problems is a regular theme on the hit show.
MIA: Rob was missing from a recent family portrait
"Your liver is shutting down," his mother Kris told him on an episode last year after growing concerned he could suffer an early death like his father Robert aged just 59.
"This is life-threatening at this point. You can only sustain this level of being unhealthy for so long."
"I've never felt so depressed in my life," he said on the episode. "I'm trying to be in the fashion industry and I'm not going to be taken seriously when I'm fifty pounds overweight. It's embarrassing to the family."
Sources close to the Kardashians say that the scare was a "wake up call" for Rob who now wants to start to get healthy for the New Year.
